Tips to Find a Parking Spot when Holiday Shopping

Whether you're a procrastinator or you just forgot to pick up a gift for someone, chances are, you'll be heading to the malls this holiday season relatively last-minute. Because so many others will be doing the same thing, it's likely that you could use car travel tips to help you find a parking spot.
Midwest Voices has a couple of playful suggestions for finding a spot in a crowded parking lot this season, but some of the basics are still relevant. First of all, you should drive the smallest car you own. This will ensure that you'll be able to fit in those tight spaces that bigger cars may not have access to.
Secondly, use your turn signals as soon as you see an open space. This is essentially a way for you to stake a claim on that spot without having to fight someone else for it. Be aware, however, that not everyone will recognize this ownership.
Lastly, be realistic. You're more likely to find a spot farther away from the entrances, so don't waste your time trolling the first floor of the parking garage. You'll have a much less stressful holiday shopping experience.
