Daytona 500
Often called "The Great American Race," NASCAR's Daytona 500 has become the most watched racing event in the U.S., surpassing former leader, the Indianapolis 500. The race occurs every February at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, as racers compete for the historic Harley J. Earl trophy.
Dakar Rally
Created by Thierry Sabine in 1977 after getting lost in Libya during the Abidjan-Nice Rally, the Dakar Rally traditionally runs from Paris through the North African desert to Dakar, Senegal.
