Christine
Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, John Carpenter's 1983 horror film, Christine, is about a demonic 1958 Plymouth Fury, "Christine," and the strange relationship that develops with its teenaged owner, Arnie Cunningham. Arnie soon discovers Christine's penchant for murder and becomes somewhat possessed by the car himself.
American Graffiti
George Lucas' first film about the baby boomer generation, American Graffiti, stars young actors Richard Dreyfus, Ron Howard and Harrison Ford as cruising rock 'n rollers in Modesto, California. Featuring a variety of characters and plotlines, the story primarily focuses on teenage nightlife and drag racing during the early 1960s.
The Blues Brothers
Based on John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd's Saturday Night Live characters, Jake and Elwood Blues, The Blues Brothers tells the story of two brothers trying to raise money to save their childhood orphanage while reuniting their old rhythm-and-blues band. During the finale, Jake and Elwood's signature 1974 Dodge Monaco cop car leads the Illinois and Chicago police on one of the most over-the-top and excellent car chases in film history.
