Fast claims processing begins with a well designed claims process.
EasyCare maintains strong direct relationships with a large network of automotive dealers and authorized repair facilities. Every EasyCare repair facility follows these steps to file a claim:
- Ask for a copy of the Contract Holder’s Application/Contract and I.D. Card.
- Diagnose the problem(s) and the cause of the failure(s), and estimate the cost of repair.
The Contract Holder is responsible for work not covered by the contract, including the cost of Tear-Down* to diagnose the problem if it is determined that the breakdown/claim is not covered.
- Call the claims number provided on the Application/Contract or I.D. Card and provide the following:
- Customer Name
- VIN
- Repair Order Number
- Mileage
- Diagnosis: including Complaint, Cause, and Cure
- Complete Estimate: with part numbers, etimated labor time, and sources of parts and labor information.
- The claims adjuster will verify coverage and either:
- Approve The Claim: issue a Claims Authorization Number and an Approved Amount. (IMPORTANT: RECORD THE AUTHORIZATION NUMBER AND THE APPROVED AMOUNT)
- Request Further Evaluation: by tear-down or independent adjuster.
- Deny The Claim
* Tear-Down is a procedure in which vehicle components are disassembled for closer inspection to more accurately diagnose and/or repair mechanical breakdown or failure.
